Biography

Born in 1985 in Hamburg, Arvid Graeber started playing the guitar at the age of five years and was taught by Werner Krämer-Lange in Elmshorn. After 13 years he went to the 'Rotenburger Gitarrenwoche' where he met Hans Wilhelm Kaufmann who later encouraged him to have an interview at the 'University of the Arts' in Bremen. In 2009 he finished his stage performing education with Hans Wilhelm Kaufmann.

Additional to his guitar studies with Hans Wilhelm Kaufmann and a seminar about guitar techniques with Jens Wagner Arvid Graeber attended master classes with different well-known guitarists such as Erik Stenstadvold, Pavel Steidl, Marcin Dylla, Margarita Escarpa, David Tanenbaum, Carlo Marchione, Pablo Garibay, Zoran Dukić and Thomas Müller-Pering. In 2014 he received together with David Röhler a scholarship from the Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival for a masterclass with Pepe Romero. Since 2012 he attends deepening lessons with Prof. Olaf van Gonnissen.

Simultaneously to his stage performing education Arvid Graeber achieved very good qualifications in the method of teaching the Guitar.

Since September 2009 -in addition to his teaching of his private guitar class- he is working as a guitar teacher at the Music School Bremen. He also performs internationally regularly on stage both as a soloist and in collaboration with David Röhler as Duo D'Arvid. In 2011 he had his debut with Duo D'Arvid on Nordwestradio (Radio Bremen/NDR), in 2014 the first CD "Evigilate!" was published. Since 2014 the Duo "11 Strings" exists with Anna Markova (Violin).
